Social Media Publishing Checklist and Prompts for AI Copy Review
The final minute before publishing is a poor time to remember that you still need to check a link, account name or date. A checklist reduces the decisions you depend on remembering, but works only when you mark what you actually verified.
Antrapost’s free publishing checklist organizes a manual review and provides a downloadable summary. Antrapost is one of my projects. It also includes four prompt templates for requesting a second review of your copy from your preferred AI assistant.
What to review before sending a post
The workflow covers the message, files, links and destinations. You can use it for a personal post, a software demo or a business announcement.
| Area | Useful question | Evidence you should have |
|---|---|---|
| Message | Does the first line communicate the idea? | An opening understandable without extra context |
| File | Does it match the content and look good? | Image or video opened and inspected on mobile |
| Link | Does it lead to the right place? | Destination page tested |
| Destination and date | Will I publish to the right account at the right time? | Names and timing verified |
Checking usage rights, names, prices and conditions is part of the work too. An attractive image does not compensate for a broken link or an inaccurate promise.
Use Antrapost’s checklist step by step
- Open the tool and optionally name your post.
- Read each item and perform the actual check outside the checklist when needed.
- Mark the box only after verifying it.
- Use notes to record what still needs changing.
- Inspect pending items and download the summary.
- Review the final confirmation in your publishing editor.
When an item does not apply, first verify that your post does not need it. Having no link can be intentional; forgetting to include it is a different problem.
The summary distinguishes reviewed and pending items. Save it with campaign materials if useful. Progress does not persist after leaving or reloading, so download before closing.
What a second AI review can do
The templates cover sales, educational content, community and launches. Choose the relevant purpose, complete the bracketed fields and add the draft you want reviewed.
Edit the prompt in the tool and copy it to your preferred AI assistant. Nothing is sent automatically, and the checklist does not contain an assistant that verifies everything for you.
Ask for concrete observations: missing context, unsupported claims, whether the final action fits the goal or a condition that might be misunderstood. Review suggestions before applying them; more persuasive wording does not make an invented fact true.
If you also program with AI, this guide to learning without becoming dependent applies the same principle: ask for help, verify and retain the ability to explain your decisions.
What AI does not check when you mark a box
A prompt containing your copy does not prove that a file opens, a URL works, you have account permissions or a selected date is correct. Check those elements yourself in their real interfaces.
It does not certify platform acceptance or predict results either. A completed checklist represents your review, not a technical or commercial guarantee.
Avoid copying private client data or credentials into an external assistant. Reviewing an announcement usually requires only the message and relevant editorial context.
An example for announcing an update
Imagine your application adds expense export. Before publishing, open the demo and use the feature. Check that the screenshot matches the deployed version and the link does not point to a local environment.
Then ask whether the copy explains who can use the export and which format it produces. If the feature is experimental, keep that condition in the announcement.
Mark the checklist when you have those answers. If an image or link still needs changing, record it as pending rather than ticking every box to fill the counter.
Frequently asked questions
Does the tool automatically validate files and links?
No. It organizes a manual review. The boxes represent checks you perform yourself.
Do I need an Antrapost or AI account?
The checklist works without registration. To use a prompt in another assistant, you need whatever access that service requires; this tool neither provides it nor needs it to download the summary.
Does the checklist save progress?
Not after leaving or reloading. Save the summary and retain notes needed to continue.
Publish with a review you can explain
Open Antrapost’s checklist with your next draft. Its value is resolving concrete pending items before sending, not checking twelve boxes as fast as possible.
